Class #3-4 Assignments are due on June 28, 2008, at 8 AM.

This is a catch-up week for all students. Get your templates complete. There is no other assignment for this week.

Joomla-specific deliverables

  • Fill out missing content on your Joomla site
  • Start researching some extensions you may wish to include in your site
  • Convert your site look from HTML or Photoshop sketch to Joomla template.

Discussion deliverables

  • Complete the two discussion questions in Moodle from class #3, if you have not done so already.
  • Register for Linked In, and give it a try, if you have not done so already.
  • Answer Moodle discussion questions from Class #3.

Other items to complete

By now, you should have finished either Design for Community or Designing for the Social Web. I've got questions coming on these books, so get them read if you haven't done so already.

Please look over the Joomla book as well, as Barrie North is coming next class.  His chapter on templates should be one of the first places you look for help if you still need it.

I write about recommendation systems, identity, ratings, privacy, comments, profiles, tags, reputation, [...]
  • The Live Web
We’re building tools to watch the world change… Doc Searls has a wonderful post on his long-time meme: The Live Web. What I like about Doc is that he knows words matter. So when he talks about the Web he uses specific words and phrases that frame discussion. He says that when people treat their web [...]
